2008 Spring Retreat
Packing
List
Each student should pack the following:
- Snack
(to share) from the following list:
- 6th
graders
chips, dip, or crackers
- 7th
graders
sweets (bars, cookies,
brownies etc.)
- 8th
graders
fruits or veggie snacks (any
healthy snacks)
- Jr.
Core
1 pack plastic cups (50 or more per pack)
- Adult
Core
1 pack paper or plastic
plates (50 or more per pack)
- $6
for rd trip bus ride
- 2
changes of clothes
- pajamas
- jacket
- toiletries
(toothbrush, hairbrush, toothpaste,
deodorant, etc.)
- towel
- wash
cloth
- pillow
- sleeping
bag
- air
mattress (If available. We’re
short on bunks for girls. Boys
have plenty of bunks in their room.)
- flashlight
- camera
(optional)
Please
do not bring:
- IPODS
or other electronic music players
- Cell
phones
- Hairdryers
and straighteners (Core team will bring their hairdryers and
we will share. We
won't have much time in the mornings for beauty” time.)
- Make-up,
unless you are normally allowed to wear it.
Make-up only allowed in moderation.
- BAD
ATTITUDES!
Itinerary
Be at GA cafeteria at 4:30
on Friday. We will do our first session and our pizza at GA
and then leave for Elkhorn around 6:30 on school bus.
We will return to GA on Sunday morning at 8:00. We will have
breakfast in the cafeteria and then attend St Mary's 10:00 mass
together as a group. After mass, parents and guests will be
invited to stay in church for a few extra minutes while students share
their retreat experiences. After sharing time, students are
free to leave with their parents.
Adoration
Parents are asked to sign
up for one hour of adoration some time during the retreat weekend, to
offer up your son and/or daughter and the Core Team doing the
ministering over the weekend. This hour can be spent at St.
Mary's church or any other church in your area. Please
contact Diane Leffler to sign up for a time.
Transportation
We will be riding the
school bus to and from the retreat. Parents are asked to
donate $6 for bus fees. Parents who had previously been asked
to help drive are off the hook for transportation this weekend.

t-shirts
Sister Mary Ann has given
permission for the Edge students to wear their Edge t-shirts to school
this Friday.
